An outstanding, full-time opening has become available in the Oceanside/San Diego, CA area for a local individual with 8+ years’ experience as a Civil Engineer/Project Manager with a background in the design and management of Federal Roadway Realignment projects. This position would earn a generous six figure base salary and a loaded benefits package including 100% paid medical insurance for you and your dependents and other outstanding benefits/perks.

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration:

  • 8+ years of Civil Engineering & Project Management experience on large Federal Roadway Realignment (~80M) projects, Military or projects on a Military base is a MUST
  • Ability to design, lead and manage: site preparation, paving and site improvements, provision of access roads, curbs, gutters, guardrails, retaining walls, road striping and signage, coordinating design drawings with fellow engineers, performing design checks, structural analysis inspections, etc. is a MUST
  • Experience with Construction Administration duties including: Project Tracking, Labor/Material cost evaluation, Subcontractor management, Schedule management, calculate quality estimates, maintain organized documentation, etc. is a MUST
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related is a MUST
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California is a MUST
  • Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) is a BIG PLUS
  • Secret Clearance (SC) or Top-Secret Clearance (TCS) is a BIG PLUS
  • Certification/Competency with a majority of the following is HIGHLY PREFERRED: American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI)
  • American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) 2020
  • County of San Diego: Facilities Design Guidelines and Standards
  • Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
  • Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
  • San Diego County Hydrology Manual (SDHM)
  • CALTRANS roadway design requirements.
  • NAVFAC roadway design requirements.
  • A thorough background check, drug test, employment verification and other federal pre-employment procedures will be conducted for access to a Military base.
